Are you wanting to create custom wedding favors for your special day?
Sometimes, personal touches are what make a wedding more intimate and memorable. My husband and I wanted to give our guests something meaningful so we made these custom greeting cards through Vistaprint out of my personal artwork. We hosted a destination wedding in San Juan, Puerto Rico, so I chose to paint scenes from the island as memorabilia or a souvenir for our guests!
Using Vistaprint is super easy! Simply upload a quality photograph of the image you want on the card in the custom greeting card section of Vistaprint.
Not an artist? Here are some other ideas for images you can upload to make your greeting cards special:
- A photograph of the venue
- Your engagement photos
- A photograph of the bridal bouquet for thank you cards (post-wedding)
- A photograph of the town the wedding will take place in
- If you or your spouse have children (or have a willing niece or nephew), have them draw a picture of your wedding venue or area you will be getting married
- If having a destination wedding, photograph your pet with a vacation outfit on
- Visit Etsy and have a cartoon artist draw a caricature of you and your husband!
We used this caricature to put on koozies as wedding favors at our engagement party, a beach towel for my bachelorette party in Charleston, and had it applied to the cake at our engagement party! Any other ideas on how to use caricatures for custom, wedding favors!? Let me know your comments and suggestions!
Post-Wedding Thank You Cards
Now that the wedding is over, I plan to use some of my watercolor paintings to create thank-you cards for our guests. Below is a small gallery of the paintings I created, inspired by the vibrant colors and charm of Puerto Rico.
