Find Your Flow on Spotify
What is your go-to Spotify playlist? I’ve realized that the type of music I listen to can determine the style of the art I create. For example, if I’m painting realistically I’ll gravitate towards a more subdued playlist without lyrics. The more vibrant the song the more abstract my painting style will appear.
Did you know that the vibe of your space can affect your creative process? It’s true! Sometimes, it can be hard to get in the mood to create. Particularly after a long, rudimentary day.
I’ve gone through many seasons where I couldn’t create an image to save my life. The desire to play, take risks and explore had dwindled. I wasn’t allowing myself to create an uninterrupted, safe, and non-judgmental space to explore. This is why it’s important to consciously establish a place in your home that makes you feel relaxed and unguarded.
Do you have a spot in your house that is yours? Think about what space that might be and retreat there as we dive into my top 5 Spotify playlists for creating.
