Halloween is over, so naturally, the holidays have arrived! It’s time to pull out the decorations, hang the wreaths and get in the holiday spirit. But first, what are you going to wear this Christmas season?
It’s easy to overlook ourselves while we’re busy buying gifts for everyone else. Remember to treat yourself to something fun, something that brings you joy.
Last year, I treated myself to the holiday red coat, featured below. For me, once the jacket is on, the holidays have officially begun. If you love holiday red as much as I do then you will love this post! Below, I’ve listed where you can find holiday red and green garments to add to your wardrobe this winter.
Shop Holiday Red This Season
Traditionally, holiday red is more of a blue-red. Meaning, there is less orange in the hue making it slightly cooler on the color spectrum. You may hear this red referred to as Crimson red.
I love shopping at Nordstrom Rack, so it’s at no surprise that the red blazer coat featured below is from The Rack at $99.97.
Looking for a cheaper option of the same holiday red coat? Try the belted, hooded coat look from Zara.
How about holiday red in cashmere? Stay warm in De La Creme’s wool and cashmere wrap coat.
What goes with holiday red? Mix it up with a green floral skirt, perfect for those 60 degree Carolina winters ;-p. I matched it with a deep V, long sleeved bodysuit. This skirt also comes in neutrals, perfect for pairing with holiday red.
Try matching a holiday red sweater with this satin gold skirt from Lulus.
Velvet Dresses for Your Holiday Looks
Nothing says holiday party like a velvet dress. I’m loving the open back, cherry velvet dress by Reformation this season. For a more modest look (and one you may actually stay warm in), try a forest green velvet dress.
NOTE: I’ll let you in on a little secret. Are you a fan of sheer and opaque black tights in fall/winter fashion? If so, don’t waste your time buying expensive brands with suffocating control tops. Stock up on the CVS brand tights– they are the most comfortable and durable tights I’ve ever worn!
Lastly, let’s talk shoes! These amazing green pumps are both comfortable and stylish. I have a high arch in my foot so I appreciate heels with ankle ties like these clear pointed toe, Steve Madden pumps. The heals stayed on perfectly and the clear pointed toe felt seamless on my skin.
